Shemen Unegbu: US-based youngster desires to play for Uganda

Shemen Unegbu, a US-based right-back has expressed immense desire to represent the Pearl of Africa.

It’s always a dream and wish for every footballer to don the colours of his or her motherland and Unegbu lies along the same page.

“My football career kicked off while in Uganda at the age of five,” Unegbu highlighted before adding; “I was playing for KISU and won a trophy with the U9 side,” he added.

About Shemen Unegbu

He was born on October 24, 2005, to a Ugandan mother.

He later moved to United Kingdom at Cleremout Football Academy between 2018-20 where he put up great achievements that led to awards such as Academy Player Of the Year.

Later in September 2020, he joined Brookhouse Football Academy where he played till June 2021, taking on the role of captain for the U15 and U16 sides.

In September 2021, he crossed to the United States America (USA) side, Huston Dynamo based in Texas, a team he has played for till date.
