South African team banned for a controversial 59-1 defeat

FC mitiyasi a south African lower division team has been given a life ban after controversially defeating Nsami mighty Birds 59-1 .

Playing the final game of the season and in pursuit for promotion to Limpopo ABC Motsepe league, mitiyasi FC only needed 18 goals but they acquired more than they wanted when they thrashes their reckless helpless opponents 59-1.

To make matters worse 41 of the goals were own goals. According to reports a player who was recorded to have been given a red card in the first half had time to score and appear on the score sheet in the second half.

Mitiyasi FC promotion contenders shivulani Dangerous tigers also won their controversial match 33-1 after thrashing kotoko happy boys who recorded 7 own goals .

According to reports the four teams were summoned by the south African football Association disciplinary committee (SAFA) which found the clubs guilty giving them a life ban.

Different club officials were handed a five year suspension from football activities within the region for five years.
