Entebbe’s Tagy Women’s FC suffered a humbling 9-1 defeat on the road at the hands of St Noa Women’s FC in a Buganda regional women’s football league encounter on Tuesday.
The first leg meeting ended in a one all draw at Kennedy Playground, Katabi when St Noa paid a visit to Tagy in a match that sparked controversy among the home fans and team officials.
Facing each other in the second leg the two teams had the same points, St Noa only leading on goal difference meaning that the winner could top the group.
St Noa kicked off showing that they were really home giving the visitors no respect hitting the back of the net in just three minutes through Akwetowana Glovana.
The visitors continued to show their dominance even bagging three goals in a space of six minutes
Kabene Sylvia and Akwetowana Glovana were the heroes on the day netting four and five goals respectively in both halfs to give the hosts a convincing win.
The win has left st Noa top of the group leading by three points ahead of second placed Tagy.
