After SC Villa’s team bus got involved in an accident, the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) through it’s Competitions Department, has decided to postpone their Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 fixture.
SC Villa were on their way to Gulu to take on Super Eagles at the Peace Stadium on Sunday, February 20th.
However, their journey was cut short as they suffered an accident at Migeera on Saturday afternoon with their bus overturning.
FUFA is now saying that the game can no longer take place and it has been postponed to a further date.
“It is on a sad note that we have received information about SC Villa players and officials being involved in a horrible accident involving the club bus on it’s way to Gulu for a Stanbic Uganda Cup match slated on Sunday, February 20 at Pece Stadium.”
“In light of the above, we inform you that the above match has been postponed until further notice,” the letter from FUFA reads.
The winner between SC Villa and Super Eagles will take on Express FC at Wankulukuku at the round of 32.
