Wakiso Giants head coach Alex Gitta has attributed his side’s Stanbic Uganda Cup exit to failure to execute their chances.
Vipers SC won 3-1 against the Purple Sharks in the quarterfinal game played at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Sunday April 24th.
Yunus Sentamu’s double and Bobosi Byaruhanga goal were enough for Vipers to progress to semifinals.
“The difference was that they were clinical when they got chance and we weren’t,” Gitta said before adding.
“It’s unfortunate that we didn’t achieve our set target of playing at least five games in the competition but we shall recharge and hopefully do better next season,” he added.
Vipers is now targeting Stanbic Uganda Cup defense after winning the competition last season.
