BUL FC scored late holding Arua Hill in a 2-2 stalemate in the Star Times Uganda Premier League at Barifa Stadium on Wednesday.
Goals from Samuel Sekamatte and Gaddafi Wahab cancelled Karim Ndugwa’s opener before Oketch levelled it late.
Samuel Sekamatte had the first chance of the game with a beautiful freekick after a foul on Ivan Eyamu but his effort missed the target by inches.
In the 17th minute, Karim Ndugwa broke the deadlock after placing the ball in the back of the net off Martin Aprem’s delivery to give BUL the lead.
Nine minutes later, Sekamatte levelled matters with a beautiful freekick that sent the crowds on their feet.
Rashid Toha nearly extended the lead off Gaddafi Wahab’s delivery in the area but Saidi Keni pulled off a stunning save.
In the last minute of the first stanza, Gadafi placed his name on the scoring sheet with a beautiful strike into the back of the net.
Six minutes into the second half, Richard Wandyaka nearly restored BUL’s parity but Eric Kimbowa denied him through a smart save.
In the 88th minute, Ndugwa was brought down in the area before Simon Oketch levelled matters from the spot.
BUL raise to the fourth position with 30 points while Arua Hill sit sixth with 29 points after 18 games played.
In the next fixture Arua Hill SC will play Wakiso Giants at Barifa Stadium on Wednesday March 2 while BUL will host UPDF on Tuesday.
