Police FC forward Juma Balinya has banked on the team’s improvement to get a positive result in the game against defending champions Express FC.
The Cops will be hosted by the Red Eagles in the Matchday 23 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday.
According to the former KCCA forward, Police has been on a great track improving the team’s play as well as their backline that leaked in eight goals in the five opening games of the campaign.
Police started the ongoing season with six consecutive losses which scared many asking where was their future lying.
“I think according to the game we played against Gadaffi, we have improved on how we play as a team but we are still unlucky in front of goal,” he started.
“Going into tomorrow’s game, Express looks to be slightly ahead of us but we can not go to Wankulukuku yearning for anything less than three points.”
While speaking in the pre-match press conference, Balinya stressed that they have treated the clash as a must-win and will do whatever it takes to make it count.
“The players are in the best shape and mood, only waiting to finish the assignment tomorrow (Tuesday),” he concluded.
The Abdallah Mubiru coached side sit ninth on the log with 24 points while Express FC are sixth on the 16-team log with 33 points after 22 games.
