SUPL: Express FC held by Tooro United at Wankulukuku

Express FC were held by Tooro United at home following a 2-2 stalemate at Betway Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on Friday.

The Red Eagles who have not lost a game since match-day two struggled to get going against a much-changed Tooro United side.

Striker George Ssenkaba put Wasswa Bbosa’s side ahead, early in the second half as he headed in Sadiq Ssekyembe’s teasing Cross.

The visitors equalized through a Hussein Mwanje penalty after Isa Lumu fouled Kenneth Madira in the area.

Twelve minutes from time, Musa Doca rose highest to node in past Joel Mutakubwa and hand Tooro the unlikeliest of leads.

However, Ssenkaba responded moments later as he slotted in from just-inside the area after he was set-up by substitute Joseph Akandwanaho.

The draw took Express FC to 29 points in the third spot while Tooro United remains bottom of the log on eight points from 17 games.

In their next fixtures, Express are away to Busoga United next Friday while Tooro United host SC Villa the day before.
