KCCA FC missed a chance of moving level on points with Vipers SC following a draw with SC Villa.
The two sides played to a goalless draw in a Kampala derby held at the Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Saturday.
KCCA FC entered this game knowing that a win would move them level on points with table leaders Vipers SC who lost 1-0 to Tooro United on Friday.
However, the Kasasiro Boys failed to break SC Villa’s defence following a spirited performance in a game that attracted a number of fans from both sides.
SC Villa finished with a man down after left back Joseph Kafumbe was sent off in the second half.
The Joogos will have defender Gift Fred to thank after he made a timely clearance to deny Patrick Kaddu’s goal-bound shot.
A draw left KCCA FC second on the table with 41 points and remain two points below current leaders Vipers.
Meanwhile, SC Villa moved to 19 points in the 12th position after 20 games played so far.
