James Odoch is still looking for his maiden win since he took over as Express FC interim head coach after replacing Wasswa Bbosa.
The Red Eagles host Police FC on match day 23 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday evening at the Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku hoping to complete a league double over the Cops.
According to Odoch, his charges are ready for the task and he hopes for positive results on Tuesday.
“We’ve prepared well ahead of our home game against Police FC,” Odoch said before adding.
“We’re all aware how important this game is because we’ve gone eight games across all competitions without winning but we’ve used this time to prepare well.”
Forward Erick Kambale is back into contention, Murushid Juuko and Abel Etrude are not available while Yaya Mahad faces a late fitness test.
“Police FC is a sturborn team that’s for sure and they also have experienced players like Tonny Mawejje, Frank Kalanda and Juma Balinya but we shall do our best to win also I am happy that Erick Kambale is back, he missed our previous game but now he is in the right mental strength to play,” Odoch further said.
This will be the 26th meeting between the two sides, the Red Eagles have managed 12 wins compared to the Cops’ six with seven draws between the two sides.
Police FC have managed one win and a draw in the past five meetings across all competitions. The Red Eagles won the first leg 2-1 at the StarTimes stadium Lugogo.
