Police FC 4-2 Tooro United
Onduparaka were held by Gaddafi in a goalless draw in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Greenlight Stadium on Tuesday March 1.
As early as the 10th minute, Mohammed Shaban nearly gave the hosts the lead through an acrobatic challenge but Paul Mujapwani finger tipped it away.
Two minutes later, Denis Ojara gave Mujapwani more work to do after executing a strong dripping freekick but the custodian punched it out for a corner kick.
Gaddafi’s first chance came in the 22nd minute as Richard Basangwa made a good run past the defenders but his pass to Seif Bate did not yield since the forward was cautioned offside.
The army side’s best opportunity came six minutes past half an hour mark after Frank Mulimi went past two markers but his roving shot parried off the woodwork.
In response, Onduparaka’s midfielder Patrick Sserujogi pulled off a powerful shot on goal but the challenge rattled off the frame.
At the start of the second half, injured Mulimi was replaced Bithum.
The result keeps Gaddafi in the eighth position with 25 points while Onduparaka sit 12th with 18 points after 19 games played.
