In the fifteenth minute, Nicholas Kabonge benefited from his pace to engineer a counterattack before he was brought down in the area. Salim stepped up and slotted it home at the far left from 12 yards.

Six minutes into the second stanza, Charles Mulanda delivered a good cross but Anwaru’s header went off target.

In the 65th minute, Petros Koukouras made a double change introducing Goffin Oyirwoth and Benson Muhindo for Travis Mutyaba and Isaac Ogwang.

Minutes later Busoga, Basoga’s good corner missed contact from close range before SC Villa captain Gavin Kizito cleared it away from the area.

Ten minutes to play in normal time, Kenneth Semakula rose high to meet Kabonge’s corner kick but Busoga’s custodian collected it well after a full stretch.

Five minutes later, Kabonge and Masereka were called to rest for Oscar Mawa and Fred Agandu to take on the job.

The result took SC Villa to the eleventh position with 13 points from 11 games while Busoga sit 15th with seven points on a 16-teamed log.
