Muhammad Shaban continued to impress with a beautiful goal as Onduparaka beat SC Villa 1-0 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League at AbaBet Greenlight Stadium.
The Caterpillar skipper registered the 12th strike of the campaign after 24 games.
Emmanuel Oketch sent SC Villa defender Gavin Kizito the wrong way before he laid a sweet cross to meet Norman Ojik whose volley went above the crossbar.
John Rogers went through a forest of bodies before he pulled off a powerful shot but the effort hit the side of the net.
With six minutes to play in the first stanza, Muhammad Shaban’s deeping ball beat SC Villa custodian Meddie Ssenkoto to find the back of the net.
On the return of the second half, the custodian Joseph Yiga replaced Kibirige as Davis Ssekajja paved the way for Sadam Juma.
Later on, Mansoor Safi Angu’s well-taken freekick forced Yiga into a great save as he palm away the strong effort.

Shaban nearly extended the host’s lead off a powerful shot but it instead kissed the woodwork and went above.
The victory takes Onduparaka in the eighth position with 30 points while SC Villa sit 12th with 25 points from 25 games played.
