Vipers SC have made a sweet revenge against Arua Hill with a 3-1 win in the game played at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende.
Cesar Manzoki, Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu scored for Vipers while Gadafi Wahab scored Arua Hill’s only goal on Saturday evening.
The Venoms entered this game seeking for revenge after losing corresponding fixture 1-0 in Arua.
Vipers had a chance to lead the game in the 44th minute after brilliant work from Disan Galiwango, as he sprinted into space on the left wing before delivering a dangerous cross to find the run of Karisa, who could only hit the post.
Vipers broke the deadlock in the 49th minute when Manzoki fired past a helpless Richard Anyama to earn his side the lead.
In the 54th minute, Alfred Leku found some space outside the box before unleashing a powerful drive that headed inches wide of the right post.
In the 76th minute, Karisa doubled Vipers’ lead after Manzoki gave him a sweet brushed pass to put the ball into the back of the net.
Wahab pulled one back for the Leopards in the 76th minute after getting an assist from Geriga Atendere.
Yunus Sentamu made it 3-1 for Vipers in the 80th minute with a brilliant solo goal to make it out of reach for Arua Hill.
The win consolidated Vipers on the top of the table with 39 points while Arua Hill is now sixth with 28 points.
