Vipers SC will be confirmed as the 2021/2022 StarTimes Uganda Premier League winners if they register maximum points against Express FC.
The two sides will face off at St Mary’s Stadium on Friday evening as the Venoms targets a fifth league title with four games to spare.
Vipers SC enter this game with 61 points, 14 more than second-place KCCA FC, the maximum KCCA can accumulate is 62.
According to Vipers SC midfielder Paul Mucureezi, their main priority will be registering maximum points on Friday evening.
“We are definitely ready to win but we don’t need to come with excitement that we have already won the trophy yet we haven’t,” Mucureezi said before adding.
“So, we need to come when we are ready for carson, have the aggressiveness that we usually have, the attitude of the players really matters alot in the game tomorrow,” he added.
Yunus Sentamu returns to the squad having missed our last League game against Gaddafi FC through suspension.
Siraje Sentamu who was stretched off in our Sunday Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinal tie against Wakiso Giants FC is back and in contention for the game.
Express FC are unbeaten against Vipers SC in the last three league outings. The Red Eagles won the last encounter at Kitende.
