SUPL: Wakiso Giants Targets First Win In Three Games As They Visit Arua Hill

Wakiso Giants will be aiming at registering maiden win in three games in the league as they make a long trip to West Nile to lock horns with Arua Hill on Wednesday.

The Purple Sharks who lost their previous two games against BUL FC and URA FC are desperate to avoid another bad result on the day.

According to head coach Alex Gitta, their mission is to register victory although the kickoff time is 2pm.

“This is an important match for us as a club and our sole objective is to get positive results,” Gitta said before adding.

“In the first round, we played against Onduparaka in Arua at 3pm and the one hour difference is little so no worries.”

“Our players can easily adapt to the conditions and as of now, it is not very hot,” he added.

The Purple Sharks come into the game seventh on the log with 27 points, two behind the Kongolo who are in fifth position.

Wakiso’s last game was a 5-2 win over Kyetume in the Stanbic Uganda Cup and they will be eager to build on that performance.

Wakiso Giants’ goalkeeper Samson Kiirya is out with a shoulder injury and so are forwards Ivan Bogere due to stomach-ache and Frank Ssebuufu because of fever.

Midfielder Ibrahim Kasule was injured in the past game and misses out as well joining defenders Hassan Wasswa Dazo and Simon Namwanja on the sidelines.

Sharif Kimbowa, Edward Satulo and Alex Komakech are back and available for selection.
