SUPL: Walusimbi Sails Express Past The Purple Sharks

Enoch Walusimbi’s brace earned Express FC the bragging rights in the 2-1 victory against Wakiso Giants in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Kabaka Kyabaggu.

Express captain Enoch Walusimbi made a full stretch to tap home a low cross from the left flank.

In the 22nd minute, Enoch Ssebagala released Eric Kenzo Kambale who beat Wakiso Giants backline to pace but his resultant poor effort went wide giving away a clear cut chance.

Three minutes after half an hour mark, Frank Sebuufu played a wall pass to Aliro who beat Isa Lumu before he teased the ball past Express custodian Dennis Otim.

Four minutes into the second stanza, Walusimbi nodded home Arthur Kiggundu’s corner kick to register a brace.

Owen Kasule engineered a great counter-attack before releasing Aliro on the right, the forward cut back but Rahmat Senfuka’s hit went off Otim’s face.

The hosts did all they could do to level matters but it was too much work to execute on the hard evening.

The result takes Express in the fourth with 42 points while Wakiso Giants are seventh on a 16-team log.
