Newly promoted Tornado Bee was beaten by defending champions Aziz Damani in the opening game of the Women’s T20 League at Lakeside Oval, Entebbe on Sunday.
Tornado Bee was all out 43 in their 20 overs while Aziz Daman lost only one wicket in the chase en route to nine wicket win.
Tornado Bee lost nine wickets as they posted a low total of 33 and in the chase Aziz Damani did not drop a wicket as they costed a 10 wicket win.
Tornado’s new signing Shakira Sadick who earlier switched from Wanderers had a silent day on the course.
However, Damani also boosted their squad with Proscovia Alako as they started the journey to defend their title.
Wanderers lost only three wickets in pursuit of the total as they won by seven wickets.
In the afternoon, Pioneer Cricket Club was all out for 39 as Wanderers collected 40 in 20 runs to pick up a 10 wicket win.
The lady of the day was Shohaly Akthet after her spin picked nine wickets for 11 runs, 3/5 in the morning and 6/6 in the afternoon.
