Uganda U20 Women’s National team head coach Ayub Khalifa has called upon 28 ladies to kick-start training ahead of the double against Ghana.
Uganda is set to lock horns with Western African giants in Ghana on the road to qualify for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The winner between the two sides will advance to the last phase of heading into the final prestigious tournament.
Defender Winnie Nakanwagi is the only new face on the list while the other 27 players have been among the set-up and are familiar faces on the big stage of the game.
Agile midfielder Shamirah Nalugya who missed the double against South Africa due to a shoulder injury returns to the fold and she will be expected to boss the middle park.
The team is expected to start training at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Tuesday January 4, 2021.
While the real show will come as early as January 22, at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende before Uganda flys out to face Ghana two weeks later.
