Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) staff have completed a seven-day transformational leadership training at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi district.
A total of 200 members of staff graduated with certificates upon completion of the course. The leadership course encompasses mindset change, patriotism, Swahili language, work ethics and values among other aspects.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, UCAA Director Human Resource and Administration Sabah Ahmed Kakooza said such training is vital for management and staff across the hierarchy for it helps the organisation achieve it’s economic targets.
Kakooza further more revealed that the training is geared towards strengthening leadership with in the organisation and as well building team cohesion.
She also believes that implementing the knowledge from such trainings will help stimulate better service provision to customers and as well address challenges arising from customer feedback.
“We are trying to transform ourselves as an organisation to be better at all values not only in the area of integrity, but also customer service,” she stated.
NALI Director Brig. Gen Charles Kisembo appreciated UCAA for choosing the institute to train its staff.
Kisembo noted that the staff have received a wholesome education about Uganda’s past, present and future, philosophy, ideologies and values.
Established in 1981, NALI is a government owned institute with the mandate to train public servants and leaders in transformation and patriotism.
