Uganda Cup: BUL white-wash Booma in the first leg

iThe Eastern Giants registered an emphatic 5-1 victory against third tier side, Booma FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup first leg that was played at the Masindi Municipal Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Six minutes into the game, Simon Peter Oketch tapped home Karim Ndugwa’s delivery to start the violation against Booma FC.

Four minutes later, Richard Wandyaka doubled the lead to give Alex Isabirye’s charges the perfect start away from home.

In the 12th minuter, the youngster Oketch showed more of his goal poaching antics after grabbing a brace before playing half the time of the first stanza.

Leonard Mujuwa restored Booma’s hope after finding a consolation for the home side but Ibrahim Kazindula added salt in the hosts’ wounds with the fourth as the game got to the break.

A minute past the hour mark, Oketch was fouled in the deadly area, Karim Ndugwa converted from 12 yards to extend BUL’s dominance at the Masindi Municipal Stadium.

By fulltime, the oil manufacturers took all the bragging rights hence placing a foot in the finals of the prestigious championship after winning the first leg.

The second leg will be played between the 17th and the 19th of May 2022.
