Uganda’s Kyasiimire crowned International Tour Ambassador

Immaculate Kyasiimire has been crowned Tour Ambassador 2023 at the Miss Tourism World 2022 finale held Saturday in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam.

The 24-year-old represented Uganda at the prestigious pageant and was among the top finalists out of the 40 Queens from all over the world vying for the crown.

Japan’s Erina Hanawa was crowned Miss Tourism World while the runners-up were Justine Felizarta of the Philippines (first), Le Thi Huong of Vietnam (second), Iana Sharikova of Russia (third), and Adeduro Adetola of Nigeria (fourth).

Upon her return to Uganda earlier this week, Kyasiimire was received by Engagi Tours officials before being hosted at The Voice Mall and Hotel, from where she was treated to a banquet and free accommodation.

“It was a wonderful experience to take Uganda to the rest of the world,” she told this publication in an exclusive interview.

“It was a great honour to represent my country Uganda, and as well showcase the beauty it is endowed with, I believe this will open more doors for the tourism industry,

“I want to inspire all young women out there to know that their dreams are valid, but as well understand that it all comes with great responsibility and hard work,” Kyasiimire said.

Kyasiimire is the reigning second runners up Miss Tourism Kigezi, an actress, runway and commercial model. She represented Kigezi at Miss Tourism Uganda earlier this year.
