Girls’ Football powerhouse Kawempe Muslim registered an emphatic 6-1 victory against God Cares on the second day of the USSA Elite Championship held at Kitende on Saturday.

After squaring with St Noa in a 1-1 draw in the opening game of the tournament, Kawempe came back fearless and more vibrant.

However, Haula Sonko levelled matters with a powerful shot that left Diana Natukunda helplessly falling inside the goal.

Quick Winger Halima Kampi benefited from her pace beating God Cares’ defenders to earn a first-half brace.

One minute into the second stanza, Kampi extended Kawempe’s lead with a beautiful finish to make it four ahead.

Minutes later, defender and Kawempe’s captain scored from far beating God Care’s custodian Miriam Nakato who failed to deal with the powerful effort.

Kampi was fouled in the area, she stepped up and converted from the sport to make it six for Moses Nkata’s charges.

The result takes Kawempe on top of the log with four points with a five-goal difference.

Gadaffi comes second with four points with a negative four difference while St Noa sits third with two points as God Cares lies bottom with no point.
