Verdict Date for Case Clinic Accountant’s murder set

The High Court in Entebbe has indicated that it will deliver it’s verdict in the murder of Case Clinic accountant Francis Ekalunga that was robbed and killed in 2018.

The late Ekalunga’s body was found around Lumuli-Kajjansi off the Entebbe Highway burnt beyond recognition, the postmortem report couldn’t establish the clear cause of death.

The court presided over by Judge Yasin Nyanzi was delayed by Corona Virus lockdowns that couldn’t permit sessions and reshuffles that saw the transfer of Nyanzi from the Criminal Divion to the Lands Division of the Judiciary.

Four persons are charged with murder and aggravated robbery pending judgement. Mawa Muzamiru pleaded guilty of the charges with the other 3 awaiting for the court to make a decision on the 15th of September.

According to the opinion of court assesors in this matter, Mawa Muzamiru and Nalunga Resty we’re found guilty by their assessment where as Kiwalabye Huzairu and Yiga Deogratious we’re found not guilty of both counts.

However other suspects in this matter remain at large including Musa Ssewankambo and Abdul Mulwana who are members of the infamous Bodaboda 2010 group.
