Vipers open the transfer window by acquiring left-back

Vipers SC has opened the ongoing transfer window by acquiring left-back, Isa Mubiru.

Mubiru joins the Venoms on a three-year employment contract from Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) FC.

Ahead of a tough season that will inquire Vipers to play Continental football as well as defend the UPL title, it is good news to their fans seeing the team being beefed up for the challenge.

“I am delighted to be joining Vipers SC at this very exciting time for the club,” Mubiru told Vipers media.

“Moving to Vipers is a big and important step in my life. I am looking forward to being part of this experienced, dynamic squad as we challenge for honours next season.”

According to Vipers General Manager, Steven Mulindws, Mubiru is a talented player who will increase options defensively since Aziz Kayondo left the club for a professional stint.

Mubiru is a roving fullback who balances his attacking and defensive abilities.

He will face direct competition from Dissan Galiwango who has since enjoyed the position after the departure of Kayondo.
