Wasswa Bbosa was officially unveiled as head coach of Jinja-based club Gaddafi Modern FC formerly known as Gaddafi FC.
The unveiling ceremony happened Thursday at Modern Arena in Jinja.
Wasswa Bbosa’s appointment has come in a period where the club has been without a coach after firing Peter Onen before the end of last season.
Wasswa Bbosa who has been jobless for four months after parting ways with Express FC assured the Gaddafi Modern FC faithful to expect competition come next season.
“I promise the Gaddafi FC fans that the team is going to be competitive in the 2022/2023 season. Our targets are set on fighting for the trophy and we are going to compete for it,” Bbosa said.
The former Express FC coach will be assisted by the Crested Cranes head coach, George Lutalo, Hassan Zungu, Ayub Balyejusa and Sam Kawalya as the goalkeeping coach.
Both Kawalya and Balyejusa were Bbosa’s men while at Express and he will again be working with them to make sure the job is done.
After finishing 8th on the table last season the Jinja based team will be looking forward to put up a better performance with the assignment of a new technical bench.
