A woman has confessed to the murder of her 5-year-old son, 3-year-old daughter and 11 months old son in Kikuube District.
Agaba Omuhereza, 33 is currently in custody of the Albertine territorial police over the gruesome murder of her 3 children by hacking. Police revealed in a statement that Omuhereza, a resident of Kibaale District was currently living with her parents and battling mental illness.
It is also believed that Omuhereza hacked all her children using a machete on Thursdsay 25th August 2022, killing her 5-year-old son instantly while the other two children sustained bad injuries and would eventually succumb to them.
According to the Police Spokesperson, SCP Fred Enanga a blood stained machete was recovered from the scene and exhibited and post mortem for the deceased children conducted.
The woman was arrested by her father and handed over to police. She was subjected to a psychiatric evaluation and found to be fully conscious, oriented but with abnormal behaviour per the police report.
